Mexico stands out as one of the countries with the most restaurants on the Latin America's 50 best list, a list that is chosen by the vote of chefs and restaurateurs, journalists and critics and cosmopolitan travelers who should have visited the restaurants they voted for. at least once in the last year.
Undoubtedly, for experts, what makes Mexico great in gastronomic terms is its broad cultural tradition, since this industry, they say, has developed over many years in this country and has managed to position itself not only among local merchants, who have identified and recognized their food, but also on the outside.

According to Jesús Escalera, chef at La dessert in Guadalajara, the new chefs in this country “have taken on new techniques with regional bases” and this has made Mexican gastronomy “catapult”.

Experts also assure that tourism is a great promoter of gastronomy, since Mexico City is so attractive to tourists, the cuisine receives international recognition and exposure.
